My name is Madeline and I am 17 years old. My Grandma is an excellent sewer and she has been teaching me how to sew since I was about 8 years old. My first projects were pillowcases and neck pillows to be donated to a local hospital and dresses and shorts which were donated to orphanages around the world. I like doing things for other people so I thought I could use my sewing projects to help make things for people who needed them. Now, I have expanded to doing projects that support children and adults, as well as other local charities!
My great grandmother “Buddee” loved the color purple and butterflies. She used a walker and a wheelchair later in her life. She inspired the idea for Buddee Bags – which is named in memory of her. I wanted to do something to help other people and also remember her, and this has been the perfect way to do that!
